A pastry chef who is missing her day-job has decided to spread a little cheer while people lockdown due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Krissy Thompson, who works usually at the Wensleydale Heifer at West Witton, decided to bake biscuits and deliver them throughout the village, leaving them on people’s doorsteps to enjoy.
Her kind gesture was such a success and appreciated by villagers that she did the same again over the Easter weekend, baking cakes and biscuits for everyone to enjoy.
Krissy was helped by her fiancé Craig Keenan, who is head chef at the Wensleydale Heifer.
The pair were due to marry in May this year, but have had to postpone their wedding.
Krissy said: “We just wanted to do a little something to cheer people up and I was really missing baking as the Heifer has had to close for the time-being.
“I’m so glad people have enjoyed the treats, I’ve really enjoyed making them.” [kofi]
