Wensleydale sprung a huge surprise in the league by beating leaders Knottingley on their own patch 29 -12.

Without several key players Dale dominated the first half.

Captain for the day Paul Smith turned in a man of the match performance and scored early on from good scrum ball.

Charlie Johnston added a second then following a grubber kick through Tom Lawson regathered to feed Carl Burnett for the third.

More chances were created as Dale threatened to run amok.
