Wensleydale Creamery Football League to restart next month

The Wensleydale Creamery Football League is set to resume on April 3.

All clubs have agreed to take part in the restart.

The league is scheduling midweek fixtures to ensure the season can be completed.

League chair Danny Plumb said: “We are very much looking forward to starting the league again and doing something normal.

“I am delighted all teams are taking part and we will be running both the Medals and Dales cups.

“Games will be played both on a Saturday and midweek so there’s plenty of opportunities to see some great local sport, with all Covid protocols being adhered to.

“We look forward to seeing you there.”

Unicorn are the current league leaders, but last year’s winners Richmond Mavericks are just two points behind with a game in hand.”
