Unicorn came from behind to beat Tockwith 5-3.
Goals from Callum Sheridan and Luke Hamilton kept the Richmond team in touch in the first half but they were still 3-2 down at the break.
However, a second half brace from Liam Reeves and a goal from Paul Brown secured the win for the pub team.
Richmond Town Reserves also enjoyed a good win, beating Northallerton Town reserves 2-1.
Goals from Ed Lewington and Thomas Gilroy were enough to see Town into the next road.
The other game fixture was an all Richmondshire affair with Richmond Mavericks beating Catterick Garrison 6-2.
Garrison’s cause wasn’t helped by the dismissal of Jez Mortimer after 32 minutes.
The only league fixture of the day saw Hawes beat Carperby 2-1.
However, it was Carperby who had the best of the early play, creating a number of decent chances.
Hawes started to have the better of the play in the last ten minutes of the first half, but it was the home side that took the lead when Hawes keeper James Guy came out for a through-ball but Sam Lambert nicked the ball in front of him.
He managed to finish well from distance with several defenders trying to get back to cover.
Hawes started the second half strong and deservedly equalised when Jordan Iveson stole the ball on the by-line before pulling back for Luke Wilkinson to finish expertly from the edge of the area through a crowd of Carperby defenders.
The game continued to be very competitive but Hawes got in front when Jordan Iveson beat three Carperby defenders in close proximity before finishing well from close range.
Carperby came closest to equalising when Tim Weatherill danced past a couple of defenders before his finish smashed off the post.
Only one game was played the previous week during Storm Arwen, Catterick Garrison beating the newly-formed Askrigg and Bainbridge United 14-2 in the Medals Shield.
Although the new team featured a number of former Hawes, Askrigg and Leyburn players, they proved no match for Catterick’s Luke McCormack who bagged seven.
Damian Hargreaves got a hat-trick. Scott Greenway and Alan Middleton scored for Askrigg.
