A talented young musician from Wensleydale will be appearing at the first Leyburn Jazz Festival.
The festival will take place at the Garden Rooms in Leyburn from October 22 to 24.
Simon Chorley comes from Thornton Rust near Leyburn and will be bringing his Voodoo Brass Band to do a New Orleans marching band session in Leyburn Market Place on Saturday, October 23 from 11am to 12noon.
It will be followed by a concert at Tennants in the afternoon.
Simon is now London based having trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where he studied classical bass trombone.
His recent credits include having played with with Chineke, the UK premier of Gershwin’s Nice Work If You Can Get It. and the Southbank Sinfonia.
