
Wensleydale entertained Aireborough on a beautiful spring day at Cawkill Park and the try-fest that followed entertained the big crowd.
Needing not just a win to pull away from relegation but also the performance Dale certainly exceeded all expectations.
After a cautious start centre Jack Reynards well struck penalty got the scoreboard ticking.
Reynard scored the first try of the day which was soon followed by winger James Ashford sprinting onto a well timed pass from scrum half Paul Smith.
Ashford quickly scored a second and Smithy grabbed himself a couple by dancing round would be tacklers. Captain Will Allman bagged a brace, the second after looping Tom Lawson to sprint away.
Into the second half and more of the same, Ashford and Smithy score two more tries each
Good handling through the forwards sent Finlay Metcalfe galloping away to score under the post.
Winger Jack Shepherd finished a good backs move.
Reynard kicked his 11th conversion of the day for a personal tally of 35 and in the final minute hooker Mark Dixon just failed to cling onto an inside pass from Will Reynolds with a century of points begging.

Wensleydale 2nds ran in eight tries against Billingham 3rds, hooker Dan Storr leading the way with a hat trick.
Other tries came from for Will Turnbull, Jack Heads, Henry Hewitson, James Ascough and Tom Mundy.
