
Wensleydale RUFC U14s ventured on their first rugby tour to Blackpool last weekend.
On Friday evening they played Southport and enjoyed a hard fought game, winning 20-41.
On Saturday they enjoyed the sights of Blackpool and a game of beach 7s as well as spending all their money in the amusement arcades.

On Sunday the team ventured to New Brighton where we played in a 7s tournament, a wonderful team effort meant that that they won their league and reached the semi–finals against Southport.
A great performance ensured a 22-14 victory to Wensleydale who then went on to meet Northwich in the final.
By this time the boys were out on their legs, however the players had a meeting and decided they wanted to win the cup.
After going down 7-0 early on they summoned up a massive performance and some outstanding team play ensured a 33-7 victory.
The club has thanked sponsors Wensleydale Dairy Products and The Forbidden Corner, as well as parents who helped in the organisation and coaching of the players.
