“To have such a significant increase in the number of the very highest grades shows not only how talented our young people are, but it also reflects the positive work ethic and sense of teamwork between our staff and students.”
Sarah Collison was one of the many smiling faces. Sarah secured five Grade 9s and two Grade 8s among a host of other top grades.
Sarah said: “It is just fantastic. My teachers have been great and the support I get from everyone around me has helped me achieve the grades that I have. It is a real team effort.”
Hannah Mullard, Rosalind Monaghan, Sam Ward and James Leadbeatter also secured 18 grade 8s and 9s between them – putting their results in the top few percent of those achieved across the country in those subjects.
Sam simply said: “I am blown away by the results.
Julia added: “Overall our results are slightly up on last year which, given the harder exams, is something we are really proud of. It shows that we have raised the bar and we are meeting a high standard each year.
“Given the amazing successes we have seen on the sports field, in the classroom and across all areas of our school, these results really do make a great end to a wonderful year.”
