The date has been announced for Bellerby’s annual open gardens and scarecrow trail event.
This year’s event will be held on Sunday, July 2 from 10.30am to 4pm.
Chris Akrill, one of the organisers, said: “This village of becks and bridges offers delightful hidden gardens and hilarious scarecrows, music in the afternoon and legendary refreshments in the Memorial Hall where there is an outdoor play area.
“Add to this plant selling in the Community Garden and a flower display in the St John’s church the village.
“You can get inspiration and ideas from some of our lovely gardens, as well as entertainment and good food. Altogether an excellent day out.”
Admission is £5 each for adults, children under 16 go free and there is free off-road parking.
Proceeds will be shared between local community projects.
