Buoyed by the success of previous exhibitions which have raised hundreds of pounds for local charities and brought countless visitors to their deeply rural Dales village, members of the West Burton Art Group are holding a Bank Holiday show of their work this weekend.

The exhibition in their refurbished and light-filled village hall, on the edge of the village green,  is open on Sunday and Monday from 10am-4pm. Admission and refreshments are free, although donations are welcome for the local hospice, and there are paintings in a variety of styles and media available to buy.

This well-established group of about 21 members, who come from all parts of the upper dales, meet in the West Burton village hall every Wednesday from 10am to noon. There is no formal tuition, but participants share skills and learn from each other. New members are always welcome.
