Members of the West Burton Art Group whose work is as varied in choice of place as it is in materials and execution, have their second show of the year on Saturday and Sunday, 17 and 18 November, in the village hall where they practise their craft.
Wensleydale landscapes and Italian villages, green woodpeckers, lapwings, hares and seascapes all feature in a variety of media, including watercolours, oils and acrylics. The group has established a reputation for producing a work of a standard that belies their amateur status and most of the pictures are for sale.
The picture-perfect village green which fronts the exhibition venue has itself featured in at least one artist’s work and has the added advantage of allowing ample parking for visitors that does not encroach on the green itself. The exhibition is free and is open on both days from 10am to 4pm. There are light refreshments (tea, coffee and a biscuit) and donations to a local charity yet to be named will be welcome.
