The White Shops are open for business – that’s the message from store owners this summer.
The businesses at the Catterick Garrison parade say that while the delay to the junction improvement work near their shops is causing a headache, it will not stop them providing good services at great prices.
Richmondshire Today is working with North Yorkshire County Council to highlight the services available at White Shops.
Shop owners have urged local residents and those passing through Catterick to call in and see what the stores have to offer.
Shoppers are reminded that as well as short-term parking spaces outside the shops, Richmondshire District Council has removed parking fees at its Hildyard Row car park until the end of November.
Philip Carter, owner of the White Shops Subway store, urged local residents to support the businesses by using them.
He added: “You can almost buy anything here at the White Shops. There’s free parking now meaning you don’t have to walk too far if you’re coming by car or passing through.
“It would be great if people could help us through this difficult time by using the local shops and services.”

Spar and Post Office
The supermarket is open 7am to 11pm Monday to Saturday and 8am to 10pm on Sunday. It sells a wide range of products newspapers, fresh bread, a good selection of wine and beers, stationery and greetings cards. The Post Office is open from 8am to 10.30pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 9.30pm on Sundays. It offers a wide range of services including a foreign currency exchange.
My Dentist
