A woman was assaulted by a HGV driver in an incident on the A66.
It happened at around 11.30am on Friday, May 16 on the A66 westbound between Gilling West and Mainsgill.
Police say there was a collision when the road becomes a single carriageway between a grey Mercedes Sprinter van and Renault HGV with a red cab.
A police spokesperson said: “After a heated confrontation, a woman driving the Mercedes was assaulted by the man driving the HGV. She received minor injuries
“We’re appealing for information, including any outstanding witnesses.
“We are also trying to trace members of the public who stopped at the scene to help.”
