Woman in 50s victim of hit and run, police say

A woman in her 50s suffered serious injuries in yesterday’s hit and run, police say.

The collision occurred at about 6pm on Tuesday on Horseshoe Close when a vehicle collided with a pedestrian.

The woman in her 50s suffered a broken leg and broken shoulder.

Police say her injuries are serious, but not believed to be life-threatening.

The vehicle did not stop at the scene.

The woman was found by members of the public who contacted the emergency services.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information about the collision – such as CCTV or dashcam footage – to contact them.
