
A woman has appeared in court accused of stealing cosmetics worth more than £4,000 from shops in Catterick Garrison and Richmond.
Jade Tina Macbeth, 24, from Roseville Street, Sunderland, is accused of stealing the cosmetics from Boots at the Princes Gate Shopping Centre, in Catterick Garrison, and in Richmond Market Place.
The alleged offences took place in October and November last year.
The defendant denied five theft offences when she appeared at York Magistrates’ Court on Thursday last week
She has already pleaded guilty to a sixth theft offence, which occurred in December last year, at an earlier hearing.
The court heard the defendant is accused of stealing Maybelline, MaxFactor and Revolution XX cosmetics, as well as Bondi Sands tanning lotion.
The case was adjourned until October 11 at Harrogate Magistrates’ Court.
Macbeth was released on unconditional bail.
