
A woman was rescued after falling 30ft down an embankment into the river with her dog today.
The incident happened at about 12.30pm near Beggermans Road, Gayle.
Fire crews from Hawes and Sedbergh were called to rescue the woman.
Crews used water rescue equipment and ropes to assist the walker to safety.
The woman and dog were both uninjured.
