Woman spat at in road rage incident in Richmond

A woman was spat at during a road rage incident in Richmond this week.

Police are appealing for information about that assault that occurred at The Green area of the town.

It happened at about 8.30am on Monday after two vehicles met on the corner of Cravengate.

A female driver was verbally abused and spat at by another motorist.

A police spokesperson said: “We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

“In particular, we are appealing for witnesses to come forward who witnessed this incident.

“It is understood that a number of people including other motorists and pedestrians were in the area at the time and another motorist offered reassurance to the victim after the assault.”
