A Catterick Garrison woman fighting breast cancer is planning to have her head shaved for charity.

Sandra Lawrence, 59, was diagnosed with hormonal breast cancer in 2017 and was in remission for five years.

However, in August 2023 she was diagnosed with inflammatory cancer in her other breast.

Sandra, a former manager at Star Cars in Catterick, said: “I’ve decided I would like to raise awareness and money for Breast Cancer Now by having my head shaved on Saturday, October 21.”

The head shave will take place at JTs in Catterick.

Sandra added: “Any donations may it be big or small are all welcome to help towards helping people in the future.

“There will also be an 80s disco on the night, as well as a raffle.”
