Work due to start on new nursery at Richmond primary school

St Mary's Primary School, Richmond.

Work is due to start on a new nursery at St Mary’s Roman Catholic Primary School in Richmond.

The purpose-built facility is due to be completed during the summer holidays and is set to open in September.

The schools says the nursery has been “thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of local children”.

It will be led by a qualified teacher and will include an external play area.

Headteacher Katie Whitehead said: “We are thrilled to be opening our new nursery provision for three and four-year-olds from September 2019, and look forward to welcoming more family and friends to our school community.

“It is fantastic that children will be able to start their educational journey with us age three and progress through school, building on their knowledge and understanding as they learn with fun, friends, family and faith.

“It is great that we are able to start with a blank canvas and create the nursery provision specifically for the children in our local community.”
