Leyburn Arts and Community Centre at the Old School House is taking part in this year’s Yorkshire Silent Film Festival.
The first of our two screenings will be the 1927 romantic drama Seventh Heaven, starring Janet Gaynor, Charles Farrell and Albert Gran on Tuesday, May 9 at 2.15pm,
It will be accompanied by the harpist Elizabeth-Jane Baldry.

On Friday 19 May at 6.30pm, festival producer Jonathan Best will give a short talk illustrated with some film clips and music.
This will be followed by the feature film Blackmail – a 1929 Hitchcock thriller starring Anny Ondra, John Longden and Sara Allgood – with Jonathan’s piano accompaniment.
Tickets are £6.50 including interval tea/coffee and cake.
