Young child rescued after becoming locked in vehicle in Hipswell

Firefighters were called to rescue a young child who had become locked inside a vehicle in Hipswell.

A Richmond crew was called to the incident at about 9.1oam today.

Firefighters used a glass punch and small tools to gain access to the vehicle and release the child.

The youngster was reunited with their parent at the scene.

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said no injuries were sustained during the incident.
